We arrived in Lagos at the end of June intending to stay until the end of September. It gave the opportunity for family and friends to enjoy a holiday with us. The town is one of the few resort towns on the Algarve with the old centre largely unchanged and the marina is very comfortable, surrounded by restaurants and bars. The surrounding sailing is along a cliff bordered coastline with easy eyeball navigation. The morning winds are almost non existent but by the late afternoon it can be blowing up to 30 knots.

The old part of Lagos

2 miles from Lagos is a lagoon anchorage called Alvor. This is very sheltered and also largely unspoilt at the water's edge

Sally-Anne and Graham hired a car and we were able to see the area inland and enjoy some rest & relaxation
